HAPPY BIRTHDAY, MAMA! I love you! I hope you enjoyed our Hungarian rendition of 'Happy Birthday'! I love you!
General Conference was the highlight of the week! We watched each session in the auditorium. The intermediate hymn "Let Us All Press On" was very powerful as 2000+ missionaries sang: "Fear not...for the Lord is on our side!" Every talk was excellent!
Allen nővér and I learned how to sign "The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints"! We made friends with a pair of ASL-speaking missionaries waiting in line for dinner one day. We love making new friends! We have also become great friends with the breakfast cashier worker. He has even learned some Hungarian!
We have a wonderful Zone! There are 3 districts making a total of about 30 missionaries, and another district arrives today! There are missionaries from all over the world: Australia, Hawaii, Papua New Guinea, Italy, and America. We have become close friends with all of them, especially the sisters. Every single one comes from unique backgrounds, but we are all united as daughters of God and servants of the Lord. It so tender to be with our sister from Papua New Guinea when the temple was announced. I will never forget the emotion and tears we all shared. God is our loving Heavenly Father and is aware of our needs.

We did our Thursday morning "Celestial service" again last week and were asked to hang up flags! We randomly chose 16 different country's flags to fly on the East side of the MTC in front of the main building. So last Thursday the Filipino, Japanese, Danish, and Swedish flags were ALL flying at the MTC! These countries are where my parents and older brothers have served. It gave the whole day a special feeling!
The mountains, blue sky, sunsets, and a nearby construction site have become so thrilling! Sometimes during class breaks, we all crowd around the windows to look out. After a while, our teacher will finally say "Okay, that's enough screen time for now!" Fall is gorgeous!
Something sort of scary happened this week! We saw a girl vacuuming the elevator on the 4th floor taken to the 2nd floor! (The extension cord was plugged in on the 4th floor...) The cord had snapped and the vacuum was in pieces... The cord has since been removed from the elevator shaft and the vacuum reassembled. All's well that ends well! It was enough excitement to last us a week!

| Dygert elder made us this cute little boat that sits on our desk :) |
Allen nővér is a beautiful pianist! We discovered a grand piano that we can practice on Sunday and learned how to sing some Hungarian hymns, including "Mindenkit szeress" (Love One Another).
I sat by a good friend Sister Toller at conference! Her mom was my mom's mission trainer in Japan! It's special to now be the second generation of their legacy.
I met Jason Tonioli's 2nd cousin--one of my favorite contemporary composers!

We has a special experience teaching Mátyás this week (our teacher acting as a Hungarian investigator). We had memorized our script, but when we discovered that he didn't even believe in God, were able to bear testimony to Him that we have a loving Heavenly Father. The Spirit is always present as we testify of truth.
Hungarian word of the week: kék (blue) So when we say 'little blue book' it sounds like we're saying 'little cake book' :)

I hope you all have a wonderful, cozy, fall week! I love seeing the trees turn bright orange and red. The world is beautiful! Love you all!
