Hello hello!
Restrictions are easing and this week we can start meeting in person with people in the church with masks or in a park. It's been exactly 2 months of quarentine and it looks like we're coming over the hill. Let's hope!
This week our lesson with Andrew was a miracle in a few ways. He hadn't texted us back all morning but we still called him on schedule to see if he'd answer. And he did! Then as we started, I said we'd be reading in Mosiah 23. I had meant to say Mosiah 24, but as we started reading, the verses in chapter 23 were also really good. It led into a conversation about prophets and priesthood keys. We talked about how God calls prophets to lead His people. We invited him to pray and ask if President Nelson is God's prophet on the Earth.

We also met with a new friend Antal for the second time. He has joined the church Zoom call twice and downloaded the Book of Mormon app. He asks a lot of questions about Repentance and seemed to really enjoy learning about the Plan of Salvation. I think it's my favorite lesson to teach because it's so exciting to tell people that we have a Father in heaven, He has a plan for us, and that families are forever! A really kind ward member joined the lesson which was a blessing because it's so hard to understand Hungarian especially over video call... Thank goodness for native speakers and kind ward members :)
Our district includes 2 sisters in Szeged, a Szegedi senior couple, and 2 elders in Békéscsaba. We do a 15 minute call every morning as a group ajd do district council over Zoom. It's such a fun district to be a part of, and we love the Knowltons so much. They sometimes randomly call us and tell us to come to our window, then they pass fruit or baked goods to us. They're so kind! Our Zone is new, too and there are 6 elders from my MTC group in it plus my MTC Companion Allen nővér and trainer Kellmer nővér! Calling into the zone call this week was so exciting to see all their faces.
I'm glad to hear restrictions are easing in different places. Happy Monday and have a great week!
Love,
Emma Rae
