Jó reggelt a barátaim! (Good morning my friends!)
After 7 weeks in the MTC, Allen nővér and I concluded that it officially feels like home. We have seen the season's change twice (Summer, Fall, and Winter), and have met many wonderful missionaries. I'm so grateful for every second of my time here, learning, growing, and feeling the special spirit of this campus.

Elder Uchtdorf and his wife spoke at yesterday's devotional! They brought a special spirit to the MTC and both shared powerful messages about missionary work. He said, "Do well those things for which you have control over," and that we have complete control over our thoughts, feelings, and actions. He also shared that every blessing should be accepted with humble humility and gratitude, even the "almost's". No good effort is ever wasted. After the closing song and prayer, they both stood on the stage waving and blowing kisses for a few minutes. Boxx elder (Elder Boxx) was near the front and heard him say, "It's just so hard to leave! We love you all." It was a very special experience to hear an apostle of the Lord speak to the missionaries.
| Our Weekly Schedule! |
This week for TRC we taught a real Hungarian over Skype! Our message was about reading the scriptures and pondering, and she was very kind and gracious about correcting us when needed. Our first attempt to call someone else didn't work, but she randomly called us. It was a tender mercy because she was exactly who Allen nővér and I needed to meet. From what we could understand, she said something like, "Always remember that Inci is praying for you!" It was such a sweet experience and very exciting to meet a native Hungarian. Talking to her was a great learning experience!

Someone surprised us with a bag of cocoa packets and cups last week, so we had a cozy cocoa party with the sisters in our hall! The sisters serving in Samoa and New Zealand leave this Sunday. They were the first new district to join our zone after we arrived and they've been here for six weeks. After the devotional review last night, we walked home with them. We all stood in a circle under the stars and sang "Nearer, My God, to Thee". They harmonize beautifully and it made me cry a little. We have become such good friends and will now be serving all over the world--literally. I'm grateful Heavenly Father let our paths cross, if even for a short time here at the MTC.
