Happy General Conference weekend!

What a special commemoration of Joseph Smith's First Vision 200 years ago.

My favorite talk was Elder Bednar's about Temples. He said that our heart, "Defines who we are, and determines who we will become." Temple covenants sanctify our hearts. I wish we could go to the temple, but I know that this service is helping others prepare to go to the temple. Hungary will have one soon! My other favorite quote was from Elder Holland: "We did not go this far to only go this far." We are living the dream of our ancestors. Their hopes have come true in our day, and we benefit every day from their hopes, sacrifice and work. What an incredible blessing. I hope I never take it for granted. And there is so much to come! And Elder Gong's talk about Hossanah and Hallelujah. And Sister Cordon's talk about conscientiously shining our light. And Sister Jones talk about being women in the Latter-day! And the new proclamation from President Nelson! I'm so excited to use it as we teach people about the Restoration.

Object lesson with Zsuzsa about Christ's church
I loved seeing the years of when each song was recorded and reflect on where I was in 2000, 2009, 2016, etc. I also spotted my uncle in the recording of "Lead, Kindly Light". It was kind of like a little tender mercy and piece of home and family.

So much changed this week. We are now in a trio with Gillette nővér, the happiest, brightest ray of sunshine! Sister Hettinger called on Friday to let us know. Missionaries with health issues were sent home from our mission this week. Brookes nővér (Gillette nővér's old companion) was the best Hungarian speaker and missionary. We all miss her so much. And she always gave the glory to the Lord (hence the email subject this week). Gillette nővér came from Érd, so we've combined our people and her's and will manage the two areas atleast for now. We'll stay in our apartment in Kispest.

Zsuzsa is doing well and watched General Conference! To prepare, we did a video lesson about The Restoration and built a little tower of things lost or changed after Christ and His apostles death, and how those truths have been restored. There's a picture below of the object lesson.

And Péter! As we talked about receiving the gift of the Holy Ghost after baptism, he said, "Ya, I think I felt that when I came to church a month ago. That's why I smiled so much during the Sacrament." We were like yes! Yes you did! And yes! It was the Holy Ghost! He recognized it from a month ago! Little miracles in little ways.

During conference as speakers referred to Emma Smith, I felt so grateful my parents named me after her. Then I thought about my Grandma Hunsaker who I'm also named after. Both were pioneers in the gospel in their families, and have changed my life forever we cause of their faithfulness. I also studied about my great grandma Margaret Ann Hill this week, and used her picture to invite people online to learn more about their heritage. She probably didn't know she'd help gather Israel on Facebook in 2020! I invite you to all learn more about your heritage this week. familysearch.org is a great resource!

General Conference was the cherry on top of another great week in Kispest. Happy Palm Sunday, and Happy Easter next week!

Love,
Emma Rae
