"Áldd meg a nővérünket" -Zsolt - November 18, 2020

There were so many great email titles to describe this week! These were the runnings:

"The One" based on The Rucker's zone conference training about focusing on each individual we interact with. We teach every one because of The One

We promise we'll celebrate Thanksgiving but Christmas has definitely started in Kecskemét :)
Cookies to neighbors

"Még van munkánk" a phrase from the hymn "Put Your Shoulder to the Wheel". It means "our work still exists". Így van :)
"Ether 12:27 One of my STLs shared a lesson she learned from this. She thought we come on missions to fix our weaknesses; Rather, we come to recognize what they are so we can improve the rest of our life. Every missionary has such good wisdom.

Last week we had interviews with President Rucker over Zoom then online Zone Conference in segments over three days. The focus was on our efforts towards individuals.

we got a little tree!!!

Last week the country announced an 8 pm curfew and we had a few days of quarantine at the beginning of the week but then they announced that we actually can continue as normal if we are very careful and just gather in small groups.

To hastily prepare for what we thought would be quarantine, we made a bunch of Christmas cookies to deliver to all of our neighbors! Van Wagoner nővér had the impression to and we whipped up some gingerbreads in like 12 minutes :) We met the people in the apartments down the hall and they are all young adults! One couple, and 3 college-aged girls! Brigitta ASKED if we teach English and another girl asked when we can meet up again! As soon as we got back to our apartment we knelt down to say a prayer of thanks. We were so shocked to see the impression go full circle. We've been pondering how to reach out to people more our age and they literally live down the hall!

We also saw three months of effort come to fruition when we finally met Kis Lászloné Éva in person. A few months ago her mom was referred to the missionaries by a couple in the ward and they tried visiting her a few times. We picked it up there with the last transfer and visited a few more times. The ward members kept recommending to figure out how to contact her daughter who is wheelchair-bound. Last week when we visited her mom, we also were able to ask for her daughter's address and cell number. They are both very old and unable to do much, but it was a special visit as we shared that we know Heavenly Father is aware of her and her needs. We left her with a pretty pressed leaf and picture of Christ to remind her of God's love (proved by the beautiful world and His son, Jesus Christ). Perfect end to a busy last day of freedom!

Then we heard that we can actually resume like normal if we're careful so we're super grateful.

Sam and Emily get married this week! I'm thinking and praying for you all and I'm so happy you can be all together! I love you!

Love from Hungary,
