Deep in the Hundred Acre Wood... (last week) + Raindrops on Roses (this week) - November 3, 2020

2 weeks, 1 email. Life is crazy amazing! Attached are pictures, too:)

Happy Halloween and November!

Love, Emma

This week:

We met with all the mission leadership to Kickstart our mission's Christmas media plan!

We bought a squash, biked home with it, cooked it, made cookies, and delivered to our neighbor and a sweet Néni!

Best. Lesson. Ever. With enikő. Yep, we love her. She's 21 and so so good.

Ön Thursday I realized my brakes were gone and we literally witnessed 2 miraculous events. We made it home safely and they're getting fixed!

Now for last week's email:)

Quick snapshots from this week...

We just finished lunch with Laura from Serbia who I ran into a few weeks ago randomly. At the end we asked, "Would you want to meet up sometime to hear the message we share with people while we're here as missionaries?" She agreed! We've been friends for five months. I feel nervous but I know that she will accept it if she's ready. The truth will ring true in her heart.

Fall is vibrant and the forest next to the branch house looks like the hundred acre woods from Winne the Pooh. Van Wagoner nővér moved from Kispest (where I served this spring) and is the happiest person I've ever met! It will be a great holiday season together!

We ran into Timi at the mall!

Hutchinson nővér's birthday was Saturday so we switched a few pday hours and went to the travelling circus in town! It was set up in a little green field by the train station and it was quite the experience! We also had a surprise "Cafe Rio" dinner/new apartment warming party on Sunday for her birthday. We had so much fun planning and celebrating all four of us together.

President and Sister Rucker announced this week that Music and the Spoken Word will now be translated into some European languages, including Hungarian! Blessings for these people.

This scripture reminded me of Hungary today: "For behold, the Lord doth grant unto all nations, of their own nation and tongue, to teach his word, yea, in wisdom, all that he seeth fit that they should have..." (Doctrine and Covenants 29:8). The Lord knows these people.

You are in my thoughts and prayers. Happy Halloween this weekend!

Love,
