Szent Templomok - November 23, 2020

 Boldog Thanksgiving-ot this week!

This week was full of miracles. It seems like the moments hardest to be away from home become those that I treasure most as a missionary.

Calling home. Congrats Sam and Emily!

Snapshots of this week:
Tithing lesson with Irma and Enikő: Irma served us all some good soup and chicken and helped Enikő understand all the ins and outs of tithing. This lesson ended up turning the tides for the better with Enikő and was an answer to a lot of prayers about how to help her parents have a change of heart. This Sunday we planned the program with her and helped her try on the white clothes. Ahh such exciting times. I'm almost afraid to breath but I have faith and hope in the future.
Biking through the rain: as the rain soaked through every layer we listed off all the things we love about serving as missionaries in Kecskemét: the Kövessyék, tree tunnels, the other sisters, Enikő, etc. etc. etc. We were quite the sight by the end :)

Family dinner <3

Sunday dinner with the sisters: complete with Sister Van Wagoner's mom's chicken pot pie and cocoa. It's so fun to prepare and host a sit down dinner every Sunday.
District testimony meeting: As a reward for reaching all of our district goals. We are all from different states (even someone from Brazil) and yet are all here serving together. This is my best district so far and it was special to all share testimonies with each other over video call.
Family scripture study: Today I called home to talk to my family and got to join their family night activity, scripture study, and prayer. All my siblings wrote what they're grateful for on leaves and we read Ether 12:37 in a circle. I love them and miss them.

Hungary's beauty is in the eye of the beholding. I love this place.

I feel especially grateful for each of my siblings and my parents this week and I'm so grateful to be in an eternal family with them. I moved to Hungary 369 days ago and there are a lot fewer days than that before I get to see them again. I feel so grateful to be here in these circumstances a year later and even more grateful for the lessons I've learned along the way. Today I'll finish my 5th journal. Wow. I never realized how much I love writing. And speaking Hungarian and biking and singing and baking and laughing and being a missionary.
