"Their Sincerity" Alma 26:31 - December 1, 2020

 Happy December!

It is foggy and frosty in Kecskemét each morning and last night we walked through the city square to see the HUGE lighted tree and manger scene! We also heard an organ playing so peaked into a cathedral. What is life?? I feel so lucky to have another Hungarian Christmas.

Thanksgiving dinner

This week:
On Thursday morning we made a pumpkin pie and with extra crust made a little baby apple pie. Then as we prayed partway through the day, we decided to take it over to Orsi down the hall who's mother is in a coma. This has been the perfect bridge to the gospel and we talked for a while. We also ran into her roomate Ági in the stairwell!

We had an 8:00 am law of chastity lesson with Enikő because her work schedule has been so busy. It was so good. It was beautiful and she was so touched by temples and eternal families. The gospel of Jesus Christ is opening up her whole life! Her baptism will be this Saturday at 10 am. I can't even begin to share the puzzle pieces falling into place for it. "Pray as hard as you can, live as pure as you can, follow every prompting." I am so grateful for this opportunity to be here right now. It is something I'll treasure forever and ever.

Birthday cake for Tardi Anna one morning on our morning run :)

It was my name day a few days ago :) A néni sent me a meme about it! Most Hungarians have the same names and it works out perfectly because then you assign each name to a day and you get a whole 'nother birthday to celebrate :)

It's beginning to look A LOT like Christmas!

In another lesson with Enikő I mixed up the word for challenge and calling... (kihivás vs. elhivás) whoops. "Ya, there are so many [challenges] in the church and they're all great opportunities to learn and grow. This is how the church works!" I'm so grateful the member in the lesson corrected me... phew! The whole lesson went well with the Kövessy family especially as they explained about the blessings they've seen from fasting.

We went to Laura's (remember the girl from Szeged who moved here? Still not officially teaching her but someday soon I pray) house to film a duet (see below) and it turned into a great time with her where we talked all about her family and life. I was so grateful that we could share that families can be together forever! And that broken hearts can be mended.

and we taught her "Rockin' Around the Christmas Tree" too! (a family classic)

Incredible times. I am so grateful to be here. Happy Mikulás napja on Sunday! (St. Nicholas tag when we put out our shoes for Santa to fill:)

Love,
