It's June!
This week was round two of oinr Zone Conference. President Hettinger also announced that Hungary is entering 'phase 1" of readjusting back to normal missionary life. The First Presidency and Area Presidency have approved limited interactions for lessons in the church or parks, as well as mission conferences, district councils, and exchanges. Romania is still under government lock down so those missionaries are still in quarantine.

We had our first in person lesson since quarantine with a recent convert named Piroska. We've been calling her weekly and it was great to finally meet in person. Our lesson was the same day as her baptism one year ago, so we brought flowers and a card for her with a picture of the temple. She was so happy and during the lesson shared about her conversion and testimony of The Book of Mormon and Joseph Smith. It was a great lesson!

We also met with our most progressing friend, Antal. His lessons are still over video chat, but he's reading and learning a lot. We shared the Plan of Salvation pamphlet over email and he absolutely loved it and was eager to keep reading the whole lesson. He also read all the chapters in preparation for the Sunday Come Follow Me lesson.
However, when we joined church yesterday, the lesson was actually all about the Pentecost holiday this weekend. I was translating for the Knowltons and learned a lot of new words during the lesson. It's a holiday weekend in Hungary for "children's day" today, so the majority of people in the call were missionaries and investigators. It made for an interesting lesson and discussion about the Holy Ghost. Tyler nővér and I learned a lot about Pentecost!
Little miracle this week... I was boiling an egg for breakfast and had sat down to read my scriptures. I had a feeling to go back to the kitchen, and as I walked towards the pot it was smoking and the handle was on fire! I turned off the stove, and opened all the windows. Crazy! The Holy Ghost protects us from harm!
Almost every afternoon it rains, and smells so good and fresh. We often walk home from the branch house in the afternoons or evenings and feel so grateful to be serving in Szeged.
I love you all!
Love,
Emma Rae
